Prof., Dr. Alexey Borovkov, the co-leader of the NTI Technet workgroup, the Head of the Computer-Aided Engineering Centre of Excellence (CompMechLab®), became the member of the Economic Council

On April 3, 2017, the Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the order on Digital Economy working group participants approval.

Two Assistants to President, Andrey Belousov and Igor Shchegolev, were appointed co-heads of the working group. 

The group involves 26 members, including Prof., Dr. Alexey Borovkov, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) Vice-Rector for Advanced Projects; Scientific director, SPbPU Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology (SPbPU IAMT); Founder & Head, SPbPU Computer-Aided Engineering Centre of Excellence (CompMechLab®), and the co-leader of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) Technet workgroup.

Prof., Dr. Alexey Borovkov, the SPbPU Vice-Rector, the Head of the CAE Centre of Excellence CompMechLab®), SPbPU IAMT scientific director, and the co-leader of the NTI Technet workgroup.

Main tasks of the Digital Economy working group are legislation improvement, preparation of proposals to the Russian President devoted to the digital economy development and implementation in Russia, industry provision with required human, scientific and research, and technological resources, as well as establishment of the unified digital space in the country.

The working group may duly request and receive the information from state and local authorities, and other organisations, invite officials to its sessions, as well as report proposals to the President and submit recommendations to authorities.
